# Code of Conduct ## Our commitment We want Forge to be a welcoming, harassment-free community for everyone, regardless of experience level, background, or identity. We are committed to a respectful and constructive environment for all contributors and users. ## Expected behavior - Be respectful, considerate, and collaborative. - Welcome newcomers and assume good intent. - Give and gracefully accept constructive feedback; critique ideas, not people. - Focus on what is best for the community and the project. ## Unacceptable behavior - Harassment, insults, or derogatory comments; personal or political attacks. - Discriminatory language or imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention. - Publishing others' private information without explicit permission. - Sustained disruption of discussions, issues, or reviews. ## Scope This code applies in all project spaces — the repository, issues, pull requests, discussions — and when an individual is representing the project in public spaces. ## Enforcement Instances of abusive or unacceptable behavior may be reported to the maintainers privately via a [GitHub Security Advisory](https://github.com/nihalashetty/Forge/security/advisories/new) or by contacting a maintainer directly. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly, and reporter confidentiality will be respected. Maintainers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary or permanent ban from the community, and will communicate the reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate. --- This Code of Conduct is adapted in spirit from the [Contributor Covenant](https://www.contributor-covenant.org/).
